Welcome to my first blog! Wow I’ve been thinking about this for some time, but I’ve now taken the plunge! My head is usually crammed full of things to write about and now I can’t think of a thing. Oh well, I guess it is nearly 1 am.

I guess my aim is to make this blog an enjoyable read with lots of useful information. It will also follow my path to ’being green’, although I feel I already hold many green credentials (eg: running my own allotment, my own green business, buying locally etc etc).

But I’m aiming to do more. With the proposed fortnightly rubbish collection coming into force in February (here in the Cotswolds), I have been concentrating on reducing my waste. Whilst this is my choice, I’ll be damned if the council think they can charge me extra for other services. Shouldn’t I be rewarded for helping to reduce the amount I dump on land fill sites. Obviously not. It angers me a little when I see other people’s dustbins and bags filled with paper, cans and cardboard . Perhaps these inconsiderates should pay a little more… In fact I even help some neighbours by taking their garden waste to put on my compost heap at my allotment site!

Talking of which, I hope the rain gives itself a rest tomorrow. I’m itching to see how my garlic is doing (probably drowned).
